Lola, assistant to the knife-thrower at a traveling circus festival, doesn't seem to be afraid of anything. But when threatening news reports of terrorist attacks break into her safe bubble, her life is in jeopardy. Then she meets the blind trumpet player Christiaan, who looks at the world in a different way.
